Moncton 2010 Track and Field Excitement

Track and Field has been quite exciting. I went and saw it last night on July 23. There was non stop action. There were various events such as 4X100 meter relay, javelin throw, long jump and high jump. As they setup for one event you can watch another one. Being there to see track events can be very exciting. When watching on tv there is usually a lot of delays before the start of races and you have to listen to a lot of extra reporting.

I want to thank all the fans. They have a good job at attedance. There have more ticket sold than expected. I also found that fans were very loud. They were there to cheer on someone from Canada. Also if someone did a great job or excelled in there events they would cheer very loudly. I think the loudest they have been in the games was when Aaron Brown won Broze. It was great to be there.

The running seemed what most of the fans were interested. It is exciting to cheer on your home country. Canada has put in a great effort in these events. Ethopia and Nigeria have the advantage in most long distance races because they train in high elevations. I was quite proud to see Aaron Brown win a bronze. That is Canada's second. Canada has a good chance to win some more medals today and tomorrow before the closing ceremonies on Sunday.

I think that CBC has done a great job at covering the games. This has been a great promotion of Moncton, NB. Atlatnic Canada has gotten a lot of coverage this summer. With Regis Philbin vising Moncton and then doing a tv show in PEI. I think that this will go a long way to promote the atlantic pronvinces.

Aaron Brown Bronze Medal celebration.
