Fries, Dressing, Gravy
Dressing is mixture of bread crumbs, Mt. Scio Farms savoury and chopped onion.
It is usually served hot.
Dressing began its life
as a poultry stuffing but any good Newfoundlander
will tell you it has many, many other uses
including fish and chip side dish
and, of course, french fry topping.
Once you sprinkle
a generous amount of dressing
over the french fries
you drown the mixture
in steamy hot gravy
and serve.
It tastes awesome something I like to have once in a while.
It may not be for the calorie counters.
It is something someone from outside of Newfoundland should try once.
